1981-86 Theatre Science (Theaterwissenschaften) and Psychology at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen. Degree: Master of Arts.

1995-96 received 'Bunkacho Artist Development Grant' from the Japanese Government. Studies in Noh
(Kanze Hideo, Shinosuke Okura, Reijiro Tsumura, Nobuo Nakashe), Butoh (Ohno Kazuo), Kyogen (Nomura Mannojo),
Nihon Buyou (Hanayagi Nahu, Matsuhashi Mieko), Shinobue (Aiko Minato, Suenaga Katsujuki).
1997 - 2000 Studies in Teamtraining and Coaching (Supervisor DGSv) at Akademie Remscheid/ Germany.

Work
1979-1981 Founding member of the Political Cabaret 'Die Kläranlage'.
1981-85 Founding member of 'Mummpitz' Theatre for Young Audiences in Nürnberg. Author, director and actor.
1982 Founding member of thevo - 'Theater von Menschen fur Menschen' in Nürnberg.
1983/84 Lecturer at the 'Actors Centre' Dublin/Irland
1986/87 4 months visit to USA. Contacts to ITI USA, the 'Actors Studio' and 'First Amendment Theatre' New York,
'Antenna Theatre' Sausalito, 'Big State Productions' Austin/Texas. On return published the article 'Theater made in USA' TZS Berlin 1987.
1988 Japan. German representative at the Shodoshima Festival for young audiences organised by ASSITEJ Japan.
1989 Invitation to ASSITEJ Australia and to ITI Australia.
1989 East Asia, workshop lecturing at Thammassat University, Bangkok/Thailand and University of Saints Malaysia, Penang/Malaysia.
1989/90 Australian/German Exchange project: Production of »Hexenhe/aute« (thevo/Maier) directed by Jacqui Yard

1990 Invitited dancer and choreographer Yokoi Masako from Tokyo to thevo in colaboration with Japan Foundation.
Project work with Yokoi sensei and the Australian composer Brendan Fitzgerald.

supported by ITI Centre Germany and Goethe Institute. Successfully presented at Dublin Fringe Festival/ Ireland 1997,

1997 'About the Queen...' by thevo is invited as the German contribution to the '1st International Children Theatre festival'
and to the international 'Linkfest' in Zimbabwe.
2000 thevo sends a contribution workshop to Adelaide Fringe Festival/ Australia.
2001 artistic director of bikultural theatre production 'Salamandra' by 'Young Theatre Charkiv'/Ukrania and thevo,
touring Germany and Ukrania.
2003 'About the Princess ...' is invited as the German contribution to
the 'Magic Courtain' international Theatre Festival in Bulgaria.
2004 Artistic Director of 'TE/Hand' bicultural Production with Japan. Various workshops for this project plus concept und script development.
